SOUND THERAPY

Sound therapy is a holistic healing practice that uses specific sound frequencies, tones, and vibrations to promote physical, emotional, and energetic well-being. It is based on the idea that everything in the universe, including the human body, vibrates at its own natural frequency. When that frequency is out of balance due to stress, illness, or emotional disruption, sound can help bring it back into harmony.

Many approaches to sound therapy are based on the principles of resonance and entrainment. Resonance is the concept that certain sound frequencies can naturally match and enhance the body’s own energetic vibrations, supporting balance and healing. Entrainment refers to the body’s ability to synchronize with external rhythms, such as the steady pulse of a drum or tone of a tuning fork, gently guiding the nervous system and energy field back into a more coherent state.

Through my training with KIN Unified Healing Institute in Sound Therapy, I use different vibrations made through various sound instruments like quartz crystal and Himalayan singing bowls, shamanic drums, gongs, rattles, and chimes, which can help promote physical health and emotional well-being.

Virtual and Private Sound Baths

I offer virtual sound baths for conferences or meetings. You can also host a private sound bath at your location (a $50-$100 travel kit fee is required).

Each session is unique and catered to the needs of your gathering. Virtual sound baths can range from 30 minutes to 1 hour in duration. Private in-person sound baths are 1 hour in duration. Please contact me for further details!

Energy Tuning

60 minutes | $175

The biofield is often described as the body’s subtle electromagnetic field—a dynamic system that includes the electrical activity within the body and the energetic field that surrounds it. Many practitioners refer to this surrounding field as the aura, which is believed to extend several feet beyond the physical body.

Biofield Tuning is a gentle, noninvasive sound healing modality that uses therapeutic tuning forks to assess and balance patterns of tension within the biofield. These areas of energetic imbalance may be associated with the effects of stress, emotional experiences, trauma, or prolonged periods of overwhelm. By introducing clear, coherent sound into areas of energetic dissonance, Biofield Tuning supports the body’s natural capacity for self-regulation, balance, and restoration.

Using the principles of resonance and entrainment, the tuning forks create stable vibrations that interact with the body’s own energetic patterns. Many people experience a profound sense of relaxation as these vibrations encourage greater coherence throughout both the physical body and the subtle energy field.

The human body is composed of approximately 70% water, making it an excellent conductor of vibration. The frequencies produced by weighted and unweighted tuning forks travel through the body’s tissues while also interacting with the surrounding biofield. Clients often report feeling calmer, lighter, more centered, and deeply relaxed following a session.

Every Biofield Tuning session is uniquely tailored to your needs. I work intuitively with both weighted and unweighted tuning forks, allowing each session to unfold according to what your body and energy field are ready to release, restore, and harmonize. Whether you are seeking relief from stress, emotional balance, energetic support, or simply a greater sense of well-being, Biofield Tuning offers a gentle invitation for your system to return to its natural state of coherence.

A minimum of three sessions is recommended to begin. Since this form of therapy is cumulative, most presenting symptoms can be resolved within three sessions. Long-term conditions may take longer. If there has been no significant change within three sessions, this modality may not be able to help with that specific issue. Energy field tuning is a wonderful complement to a Reiki session and can be combined.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a session feel like?

Most people describe feeling deeply relaxed during and after a session. You may experience warmth, tingling, or emotional release as energy begins to move. Some report feeling lighter, clearer, or more grounded almost immediately, while others notice more subtle shifts that unfold over time.

How does sound affect the biofield?

Sound waves from the tuning forks interact with the body’s electrical system. When the forks pass through areas of static or congestion in the biofield, their steady frequencies help “entrain” the chaotic energy, bringing it into coherence and flow. Think of it as a sonic clearing that helps your system remember its natural rhythm.

Do I need to believe in it for it to work?

No belief is required! Tuning is based on the physics of sound and the body’s measurable electromagnetic field. Many clients experience noticeable shifts regardless of their prior experience with energy work or sound therapy.

What kinds of issues can Biofield Tuning help with?

Biofield Tuning may support people dealing with:

  • Chronic stress or burnout

  • Emotional overwhelm or anxiety

  • Sleep disturbances

  • Fatigue and fogginess

  • Physical tension

  • Feeling “stuck” or disconnected

It’s not a replacement for medical or mental health treatment, but it can be a powerful complementary support tool.

Is it safe? Are there any contraindications?

Tuning is generally safe for most people. However, it’s not recommended for individuals who are: pregnant, have pacemakers or electrical implants, have cancer or are in active treatment for a serious illness. Always check with your practitioner if you’re unsure whether this work is right for you.

Do I need to bring anything?

For individual energy tuning sessions, you will be lying fully clothed on a massage table. A blanket, pillow, and bolster are provided for your comfort. You may wish to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated after the session.

For a group sound bath, please bring a yoga mat and any items that will help you feel relaxed and supported. Suggested items include: an eye mask, a pillow for your head or knees, a blanket, and a water bottle. Creating a cozy space enhances your ability to fully receive the benefits of the sound experience.

What do I wear?

Wear comfortable, loose clothing. Your body temperature may drop during the session. Please dress in layers and wear socks.

What do I do after a sound therapy session?

I recommend drinking plenty of water. Spend time in a quiet place. Take time to journal your experience or meditate to deepen the healing process and relax the body further.
